Bee-eater and Plumeria

Bee-eaters are birds from the family Meropidae. There are 26 different species found primarily in Africa and Asia. Their diet consists mostly of flying insects, especially bees and wasps. Before swallowing its meal however, the bee-eater removes the insect’s stinger and venom by thrashing and rubbing their prey against any convenient hard surface.
