Bee-eater and White Orchids

Bee-eaters are birds from the family Meropidae. There are 26 different species. They are found primarily in Africa and Asia. Their diet consists mostly of flying insects, especially bees and wasps. Before swallowing, the bee-eater removes the insect’s stinger and venom by thrashing its victim against any convenient hard surface.
